I am wondering about the possible use of '80-'85 Seville, '79-'85 Eldorado, Riviera, and Toronado rear disc brake setup on G-bodies?
I've read that the calipers have a piston diameter of 2 1/32", opens to 1.050", is 5 1/2" center to center for the mounting pins, And you can get 11 1/4" vented and dimpled rotors. It'll all fit inside a 15" wheel, and comes with the factory E brake setup! Does anybody have any information about installing this system? Doug ![]() |

I did a search of " bolt in disc brakes for '78- '87 g-body". Then I went to the "The streetrod Manufacturing Co., Inc."
I found the site quite interesting. Got to see if I can find more information on other sites. I think I looked at the speedway site when we had a rear brake discussion a while back. Doug ![]() |

No, I haven't Johnnie. The speedway kit is along the same lines that I saw on line. I hadn't looked at that speedway ad before, thanks!
As far as rear brakes, just wanting to check out as many different systems as I can before I decide on a system. Doug ![]() |

I'm debating on this setup or a higher performance kit... FlynBye is another outfit that sells higher end brake setups ("LS1", Z06 'Vette, etc.), for both front and rear.

Rob, what did you use for a master cylinder, brake booster (dual?), Did you install a prop. valve?, what front spindles?, what caliper bracket?, did you move or modify the M/C pedal push rod?, and do you have the E-brake hooked up?
