Default Wrong rotor?

I'm rebuilding the front end on my 81 El Camino. Got new rotors today and when I installed them the castle nut bottomed out and I have about 1/4 inch of slack. I was sure there wasn't anything in there that I left out but I looked at the exploded view in my Chiltons and everything is correct. Has anyone ever run across this before? I got the rotors, (Wearever YH141219) from Advance. I looked it up on their website and its the correct ones.

Any ideas? I think I might mount the other one and see if it's maybe a machining issue.

Dan

Postscript. You have to install both bearing races. So embarrassed

Are you reusing the existing bearings or using new ones? I've never heard of this.

Look up a blazer rotor and see if the previous owner may have "upgraded" the brakes.
