Default Reintroduction

Hi, oldtinsmith (Doug) here! I decided to reintroduce myself because due to my house and my health getting in the way of playing with/working on my El Camino. I finished the rebuild/remodeling of the living room and dining room and after what has felt like years, my health is back to normal ( at least for a 71 year old ). I have picked up a few tools to make my metal working easier (I hope). ...Hurry up warmer weather!

Doug

Welcome back! It's been slow here for a while. Maybe it'll pick back up.

Rob and Kevin, thanks for the welcome back! ... After over a year of wood butchering (remodeling!) my shop is in a serious need of cleaning. Saw dust and welding aren't good bedfellows! ... I haven't posted pictures since Photobucket screwed over all the car forums. I'll have to find a new way of picture posting from the file in my computer! ... The remodeling and I'm assuming playing with my El Camino will be a little easier after losing 33 pounds over the last year and a half. My weight loss was planned and not from any health issues. ...

Melloelky,,, I went from a 34" waist to a 30" waist. I see a number of people have moved to Imageshack. I'll have to check them out! Good weather can't come soon enough for me!

Well friends,,, I had a Cerebral Hemorrhage on May 15th and was put in a Intensive Care Unit. My brain bleed was called: "Aphasia". My "rehab" has been moving along quit swiftly and after my up and coming MRI (look-see for my Neurosurgeon) is clear, I should be able to return to my barn and "play".

Rob, I'm doing great! My language and communication skills have returned. I'm scheduled for a MRI on May 16th as a "look-see" for my Neurosurgeon on May 20th. If everything looks good then, I'll be okayed to return to normal(?, LOL). A few of the words I used daily were erased from my brain because of the Aphasia. So, it'll take me some time to relearn those words. This slows done posting on lot.
