Default front end lift

Im new to the site,but I have to say I love the pictures that I have seen,but my question is how can I get a 2" to 3"inch lift on my 1981 malibu without spending alot,are there any parts that I may find at the local junk yard that would help me achieve this,please help

Ive only seen the lift kits on ebay,i dont think theres a cheap way to do it..

I opted for a 2" cup that i purchased online i believe from a company called" lift kings" they sell a four piece set for front and back that fit in the lower a- arm perch for the front and for the rear they rest in the stock spring platform. They only make them in 5"but upon request you can ask them as i did to cut them down for you.the 5" was just to high for me as im not from the east and don't believe in a rim bigger than 22" (on a car)these give me the" stance"i love with my 22's and does not interfere with ride quality
