Wow that's a lot of changes. Glad you took the under drive off.

Try the bypass thermostat. My 383 only get past 180 if I sit idling for a good while and I only have a stock radiator.

Timing OK?

But heck I'm just a retired chef trying to learn what you guys forgot.

I didn't realize what you meant with the fan shroud until now. You definitely need some sort of vents to let the air through the radiator on the side where the fan doesn't cover. If you could post a picture of it that would be better.

OK the under drive pulley I think was the culprit. I drove it all weekend and not once did it creep over 200. Now on to the next project!

Glad you got it sorted. Just FYI, many G bodies run hot on the highway without the factory chin spoiler.
