I've heard of people using the rear hatch weatherstrip from the Dodge Caravan..

Kevin's right. With the OEM seals being NLA, your next best bet is hitting the junkyard for a Dodge Caravan/ Plymouth Voyager rear gate seal.
The profile is different, but they work well.

Welcome aboard!

I have yet to actually look for Caravan/Voyager weatherstrip but if you go to other forums, you'll get the same reccomendation.

Does Dixie Monte carlo or Mikes montes or places that cater to the g body not sell those? Seems like I have seen those when I was looking for gaskets and weather strip for my car

Dixie Monte Carlo(now Dixie Restoration) used to sell OEM rear hatch seals, but I'm sure they have since sold out of them, and is under new ownership.
You can check with Rob and see what he says.

I've done a search for them, but are unavailable anywhere...along with the illusive tailgate beltline seal.
