I'd go with a 730 Quadrajet. Sounds weird I know (and I am weird), but properly set up, that would be killer. Ask any stock class (NHRA) racer!

I run a Edel 750 on my big block, I know everybody has stories to tell about the Edelbrock but I have had no trouble from mine. I did have to change the jets and metering rods to dial it in but it works fine now. (knock on wood) I'm with Keyser though if I had to do it over again I would go with a Q-jet...hard to beat when properly setup.

I like the 650 DP,but the Q-jet can be a beast when properly tuned,I know that sounds crazy, but its true they can be good performance carbs.Edelbrock carbs are ok I guess for street performance i run a 1406 in my Camino and no complaints, but not a racers carb, for sure.

I have a Holley 750 dp on my car and love it. I went from the Eddfy to the Holley.....But for streetabillity, the Street Avenger is a really nice choice. I would think about the 770 though insted of the 670...

i think i thought last week........actually if ya aint gonna spin it 7000 rpm keep the carb around 600-650 cfm. anymore will not help a bit, just create soot and not run up to its potential. remember velocity starts at the carb.....sbc's like a higher velocity to mix the fuel better. I would not go over 650 untill i broke 400 cubes.

What's the verdict???? I'm think exact same thing. Either a 650 double pump or a 700-750 vac secondary. Been using a BG street demon 610. No problems with it untill I stripped a couple of bolts. Damn, oh well time to go bigger!!

Well any updates??? I went with a rebuilt holley 650 dp off ebay. Will report back. I'm going to rebuild the 610 BG street demon or sell if anyone interested. Runs well hoping the 659 gives me a little more.

Well I recieved the 4777 holley 650 cfm , last night. Installed it only to find the drivers side front corner of base plate broke. Sending it back for another. Damn always something.

here is a simple calculation for carbs cu x rpm= divided by 3456 =. example 350 x 6500 = 2275000 divided by 3456 = 658.27 cfm or 650

http://img.tapatalk.com/d/12/09/26/hasuzy2y.jpgOk I got my new carb still a holley 4777 650cfm dp with choke air horn removed. Oh hell yeah!!! Took her out for a shake down and wow! What a difference I actually over reved the motor it pull so much harder and faster. So much difference never thought that the 610 BG street demon was holding me back this much.
