Well after all that work... I was pulling the Monte out of the garage so I could clean up the mess. I was backing up my driveway, its long and steep. Something let go. I have no reverse. All the forward gears, but no reverse.

Really not what I needed.

well, since it's downhill, and you pull in, do you really need reverse?

well since im not running any smog stuff or cats wasnt really worried about street legal one but if you have some one u dont need and the price is right maybe we can work out a deal..

I just have to be careful where I go and where I park. Took it out for a drive right now. Sure runs better with the correct firing order. But that cam makes it a dog off the line. I think I'll need to order a high stall TC when I rip that transmission out. It was fun hitting the switches though. I'll never get over the look on some people's faces.

Should I just put in a 200R4 I've got kicking around?

Well mine's not a Gbody but I took her out and washed her down then wet sanded the primer with 240 grit, rolled her back in the garage and blew all the dust off, tacked her down good then shot another coat of primer. All this work since 7AM, I think now it's time for a nap.
