Got more done. I finished my crossmember and plated the inside of the frame abit. I may need to do a little more plating when I build my trans crossmember but we'll see.
I still have to work on the rear of the frame and I basically have that sorted out already but I need to start buying parts again I'm basically at the point now where I can start mocking up my rear diff and putting the motor and trans in (picking up a trans on Thursday) I'm going with a th350

So I'm waiting on a few parts. Bushings to build my motor mounts and a trans bushing. I picked up a shorter 8.8 out of a ranger and a turbo 400 with a fixed yoke. I'm ordering 1.25 hiems for my lower control arm and 7/8 hiem for the upper. I'm waiting to build my frame until this axle is in place. I've chosen to go with 35's and I'm debating on building cantilever suspension in the rear. Up in the air at this moment.

So I got good news the body is back on! Bolted down partly and currently building my engine mounts and ordered bushings off summit. I've been taking it slow, I did order the ruffstuff 1.25 hiems for the rear control arms but not I need to order the 7/8 hiems for my rear UCA and an oil pan for the LS. This week I'm going to pick up some steel to build my transmission crossmember but I'm going to wait till I have a few more things before I start up again.

Yea I don't see it coming off again, I have to build the rear of the frame and I chose to do it with the body on instead for me personally it will be easier. I can also have to make the crossmember with the car on to make sure that the trans won't be hitting the body. I got a quote from a CBC shop to mill my rotors was $500 dollars so that isn't something I'm willing to do.

So it's been pretty slow, I did how ever purchase tires for the car and started my crossmember. I'm having trouble centring the engine and trying to get my hub/brake situation together...but here are a few photos that I've taken.

Got my engine mounts finished, I've been in the middle of life so I haven't worked on the car much. I have to plate the side where the steering box used to be because my UCA mounts hang over and I mounted the AC to check clearance. So far it's coming together well. June I'll be starting on the rear frame with a friend of mine and then make my rear LCA and brackets

So if you know where the steering box is you'll understand this. Flash back to my last post the brackets for my UCA hung over the frame because it was just to thin. I was seriously unhappy with this and didn't want to have brackets that didn't look alike so I cut out that section of the frame and bend a piece of 3/16 the best I could to follow the shape.

This weekend coming up I'm starting on the rear frame with my buddy and then I'll have all the body mounts bolted down and secure.

So I had to change some stuff on the front UCA's. I tacked them in for now, the engine mounts are finished and same with the transmission crossmember. I'm still trying to figure out a good way to mount the crossmember to the frame.. I have a few ideas but we'll see.

I finally started on the rear frame moving it in 5" and plated the top and the sides. I'll probably do the bottom just to make sure it'll be secure. I'm yet to start the driver side but I have the pieces cut so it'll move abit faster then the passenger side. Anyways it's slowly moving along slowly and once this is all done I'll start building spindles when I get some wheels.

Wow you have a ton of work into this already and it looks great. Much more of a project than I would want to take on. Love following it.
