I bought a trans cooler the other day. And my question is do I run my transmissions lines straight to the cooler or do i connect it to the radiator & the cooler. uploadfromtaptalk1317175982734.jpg

You can run it either way. Bowtie overdrive transmissions require you run it to the external cooler then to the radiator cooler then back out to the trans. I'll probably run mine this way.

When I installed mine everyone told me to run it through the radiator first, then to the external cooler, then back to the trans. But I just have a th350 and don't know if it's different for an overdrive trans.

Ok. I wanna it though both too. So I would have to run it from transmission to inlet on radiator out of radiator to inlet on cooler out of cooler to transmission. Right

My transmission guy recommended I bypass my radiator all together when I installed my new 2004r. The reason, heat kills the transmission. If I'm running thru the radiator and the engine overheats then that passed directly to the trans fluid. I made a bracket and mounted it to the header panel in front of the rad so there is a 2" gap between the rad and the trans cooler. Seems kinda useless to still use the radiator it keep the trans fluid cool. So far, no problems in 50k miles.

Now I have some questions. When I removed my ac/heater assembly I fond three of these uploadfromtaptalk1317518065406.jpg. I took out and left the other in. These won't effect my car in any way will they.
Question #2 I just drop in a 200-4r and Im having trouble with the tv cable it seem like its to big to fit in the hole ( thats what she said lmmfao). Would I have to get a new one or apply some pressure and force it. Question #3 where can I fine a dip stick for the transmission that will work with my malibu. dMoN cHiLd 80Z BABIEZ Last edited by jking78; 10-01-2011 at 06:23 PM. |

They wont do anything as far as your a/c goes. as far as the dip stick goes you can hit the junk yards or go after market. I dont see why the dip stick you had before wont work. One from a regal, monte or olds should work if it came with the 200 4r.
