One of the first Malibus I bought had 15x10 Centerlines with 295s and the car was lifted so they fit....looked terrible lifted in my opinion.

I'm thinking without a frame notch, or well lip mods it would be pretty tough to tuck them. Might depend alot on backspacing. Maybe someone with more knowledge will help out.

That is the question that needs to answered. What is the backspacing of the wheel?

I run 295/50/15`s with 15X8 rally rims on the rear of my 81 Malibu, I had to roll the outer wheel well lip.

you can fit a 15x10 rim but has to have a 4-1/2 backspacing but the rear wheel well lip has to be rolled up

My El Camino pictured in my avatar has GR50/15" on 7" rims on the front and LR50/15" on 8" rims on the rear. I have no idea how those tire sizes equate to the tire sizes of today. That picture was taken about 15 or 20 years ago. I really don't think 10" wide rims with 275-60/15 or 295-60/15 will fit in stock wheel wells without mods.

No it will not work. Most I could run is a 275 on a 8 inch rim with 4 inch backspace and was very close to rubbing the frame rail with my slicks i used a 1/4 " spacer to avoid cutting the side wall at over 100 mph . man i miss that truck.
